ENERGY HEALING: Reiki, Yin and Aromatherapy

Yin Yoga and Reiki harmonize perfectly with each other, then add Aromatherapy to that mix. You have an amazing workshop with Dana Potts and Rachel Staiger.

Yin is such a great compliment to other styles and your own personal life, because it brings long periods of time in an uncomfortable position, which then asks you to learn to “be” to “accept what is” in that given moment. Something we can all benefit from.

The aroma travels immediately into the part of the brain that houses memory and emotions. Here the scent is processed, releasing neuro chemicals that can be relaxing, stimulating or sedative, depending on the essential oil being used. When you apply the oils topically to specific pulse points: wrists, behind the ears, the third eye, etc. you can also experience the effects on many other levels such as hormonal, digestive, lymphatic, just to name a few.

Reiki is excellent for healing any physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues of any kind and it gives wonderful results. Removing all negativity. Letting Go.

Dana and Rachel are bringing these 3 modalities together to help you physically, mentally, and spirituality.This workshop encourages participants to get out of their heads and into their bodies, taking the time to be present with emotions and explore how they affect the physical body.

Advanced Asana Workshop: Summer Creepy Crawlers with Janet Gallo Sun, Jul 24, 2016 at 11:15 am - 1:15 pm

Play with Lizard, Scorpion, Turtle, and a number of other postures representing the lively nature of the summer time with yoga instructor Janet Gallo. Students will be led through a sequence designed to slowly open up the body and transition into advanced variations of common (and some not so common ) yoga postures, creating space, openness, calmness and a sense of ease in the body.

Stretch. Strengthen. Soften.

 

$35 per student by July 1; $45 thereafter

Janet Gallo is a lifelong New Jersey resident who has been practicing yoga for almost a decade. An avid athlete, she was a Division I field hockey player at Monmouth University, and played recreationally for many years afterwards. She has studied yoga with many amazing instructors including Naime Jezzeny, Jason Crandell and local gem Dina Crosta. In 2015, she graduated from 200 hour training with Tula Yoga in Aberdeen and is currently earning her 500 hour training certificate.

This practice will end with a fierce Chakra Cleanse Meditation.  Open to all levels!
 
Serena Soffer is a versatile dancer and choreographer turned yogi, who has worked extensively all over the world.  She realized the similarities between music and breath and in her words, "I just think that music moves you, and yoga is beautiful.  Movement and music reminded me of yoga and breath. I can embrace the two together."

This won't be your typical yoga class.  This gets you into the movement. Freedom and fun, with a mix of kick asana flows and hip swirls.  Serena will leave you relaxed and a little bit frisky at the same time.
